Penny, 54, looked chic in denim shorts, a vest, and a blazer, while Rod, 80, brought his signature flair in a bold printed shirt, cream jeans, and a Dolce & Gabbana belt. Both were all smiles, with Penny lovingly wrapping her arm around her husband.
Their tender outing follows Rod’s raw and rare comments about his painful split from ex-wife Rachel Hunter. The singer opened up about the heartbreak in a recent interview, admitting that the end of that relationship “tore me to shreds.” He recalled how his sister had warned him against marrying Rachel, who was 24 years his junior. “Rachel left me because she was too young,” Rod said. “My sister said I should never have married her in the first place.”
Rod and Rachel were together for nine years and share two children, Renee and Liam. The pair met when Rachel was just 21, and Rod was immediately captivated by her. “There was a connection straight away,” he once wrote in his autobiography. “She was extremely beautiful but also no-nonsense and smart.”
