Harper and McCullough became close friends during their time on Idol. Just one day before the finale, McCullough celebrated Harper and their fellow finalist, Keyla Richardson, in a sweet Mother’s Day post.

So when Harper was named the winner of Season 24, McCullough’s face lit up with joy. The singers shared a hug as the crowd cheered.

Jordan McCullough Reacts After Being Named The Runner-Up On American Idol

Shortly after the American Idol finale went off-air, Jordan McCullough shared a post in response to the season’s conclusion and his second-place finish.

He included a photo of himself performing on the Idol stage, captioning it:

“‘It may not be all that I hope for And every dream has not been realized And to see Your face one day, God I know it’s all gonna be worth it… so I thank you for my Life!’”

Jordan also reflected on his Idol journey during a post-finale interview with On the Red Carpet. He shared his appreciation for winner Hannah Harper and third-place finisher Keyla Richardson, saying:

McCullough continued to say:
