Miranda Lambert arrived at the 2026 ACM Awards already carrying one of the most legendary resumes in country music history — and by the end of the night, she reminded everyone exactly why she remains one of the genre’s most dominant stars.
The Texas native entered this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards as one of the most-nominated artists of the night, earning an impressive eight nominations across some of the ceremony’s biggest categories. Only Megan Moroney received more nominations this year with nine total nods.

Lambert’s nominations included major honors such as Female Artist of the Year and Entertainer of the Year, adding yet another milestone to a career that has already rewritten ACM history multiple times over.
Long before the ceremony even began, Lambert had already secured her place as the most-awarded artist in ACM history — a title she continues to extend year after year. Her legacy with the Academy stretches back nearly two decades and includes countless wins across categories ranging from Female Artist of the Year to Song and Album honors.
One of the defining moments of Lambert’s career came in 2022, when she finally captured the ACM Entertainer of the Year award. That victory officially earned her the Academy’s prestigious Triple Crown Award, a rare achievement given only to artists who have won New Artist, their respective Artist or Group category, and Entertainer of the Year during their careers.

Lambert became just the 12th artist ever to receive the ACM Triple Crown distinction — placing her alongside some of country music’s most iconic names.
But while her nominations and historic achievements generated major buzz heading into the night, fans were equally excited to see what Lambert would bring to the stage as a performer.
On April 7, the ACM officially announced Lambert as part of the all-star performance lineup for the 2026 ceremony, which aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and was hosted by country music icon Shania Twain.

Then, only two days before the show, Lambert surprised fans again by releasing a brand-new single titled “Crisco,” marking her first release under her new label, MCA.
The song immediately stood out because of its bold direction. Blending country roots with retro disco influences, “Crisco” showcased a different side of Lambert than fans had heard before. In a statement about the track, Lambert explained that she wanted the song to feel both nostalgic and fresh at the same time.
“We leaned into all the things I grew up loving about country music,” Lambert shared, referencing influences like Glen Campbell, Kenny Rogers, and Dolly Parton. She also described the track as inspired by the sounds of the ‘70s and ‘80s, while experimenting with larger string arrangements and a more groove-heavy production style than she had previously explored.
When it came time for her ACM performance, Lambert officially gave “Crisco” its live debut — and it quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about moments.
Taking the stage as the ceremony’s second performer of the evening, Lambert appeared in a sparkling all-denim outfit covered in rhinestones, instantly commanding the attention of the arena. The performance transformed the ACM stage into a shimmering country-disco spectacle complete with glowing lights, retro energy, and a crowd that immediately got on its feet.
Lambert looked completely at ease as she danced across the stage, smiling and fully embracing the playful spirit of the song. Fans online quickly praised the performance for feeling both unexpected and unmistakably “Miranda” at the same time.
Social media reactions flooded in almost immediately, with viewers calling the performance “electric,” “refreshing,” and proof that Lambert still knows how to reinvent herself even after decades at the top of country music.
For longtime fans, the performance also served as a reminder that Lambert continues to evolve creatively instead of simply repeating what has worked in the past.
And with a new label, new music direction, and another unforgettable ACM Awards appearance now behind her, many fans believe Miranda Lambert may be entering yet another major chapter in an already historic career.
