Jenn Todryk was an influencer before influencing was a well-known career. The Rambling Redhead brought her more than a million followers along as she transitioned from social media to her own HGTV series.
However, after three seasons of “No Demo Reno,” Todryk decided to walk away from filming. Now, nearly 3 years since her final episode aired, the designer is opening up about the network’s reaction to her decision.
Jenn Todryk Walks Away
Todryk — who shares children Von, Berkley and Vivienne with husband Mike Todryk — previously revealed that her decision was largely rooted in her need to spend more time with her family.
“I was talking with [HGTV] for probably four months about how can we still do this show, ‘No Demo Reno’ but how can I basically off-load some of the responsibility onto a team or more people to where it can still live on but I can take a step back?” she explained during a September 2025 episode of her “You, Me & Mike” podcast. “I basically had to come to the realization that I’m either all-in and I’m over everything or I don’t do it.”
Todryk revealed to People in an interview published Friday, June 5, that she made her final decision just one day before a meeting with the network.
“I called, and I’m like, ‘I’m so sorry. I know we’ve been going back and forth for four months on this concept, but I think I need to pause, and I’ll let you know when I want to come back or whatnot,’” she shared.
So, how did HGTV take the news of one of its fan-favorite stars saying goodbye?
“It wasn’t, like, this dramatic thing,” Todryk recalled. “There’s no beef, no bad blood. I worked really hard to get into this perfect, well-oiled machine of comfort, and me having so much say in the content and how the show was, and I just felt very in control. And then I left.”
Will Jenn Todryk Return?
Earlier this year, Todryk shared that she was turned down for her own cooking show on Food Network. But, she also revealed a telling clue on whether she will return to HGTV.
“I am super grateful that I have a really awesome relationship with HGTV. I know that the door is open, so whenever I want to make content, I can. That’s something I’m really grateful for,” Todryk told TV Insider in March 2025.
While the door may be open, unfortunately for fans, it doesn’t appear that Todryk intends to walk through it any time soon.
“I was thinking I’d take like a year, and here we are two years paused and I’m still good staying paused,” she said during a September 2025 podcast episode.
She added, “I definitely do feel like if I’m gonna create any kind of series, I would want to do it on YouTube, like my YouTube, so then I could retain total control. But then that’s just asking for—essentially, I’m a production company which terrifies me.”
The beloved designer continues to share her life with her 1.5 million Instagram followers.
