ARCHIE AND KERRY CAUGHT RED-HANDED! CALEB MILIGAN CATCHES HIS SCAMMERS IN THE ACT

Emmerdale‘s Archie Breckle and Kerry Pollard are caught playing with fire next week when their risky AI scheme is discovered. As the pair attempt to scam more money out of Caleb Miligan, they are rumbled by a horrified Eric – how will they explain themselves?

In recent scenes on the ITV soap, Archie used artificial intelligence to pose as Caleb’s daughter Steph in order to secure some money. An unsuspecting Caleb transferred the funds, believing that it was a deposit for Steph’s flat in London.

When the teenager started splashing the cash on fancy gadgets, Kerry quickly became suspicious. Though she initially wanted him to come clean, Caleb’s harsh words caused her to reconsider – and she decided that she wanted in on the scam.

In Monday’s (15 June) episode, Kerry closes up the shop so she and a reluctant Archie can begin the next phase of their plan. They make a phone call to Caleb, once again pretending to be Steph.

In the newly released spoiler clip, which can be viewed below, Archie types out his messages before the AI tool vocalises them in Steph’s voice. ‘Steph’ exchanges pleasantries with her parents, claiming her delayed responses are due to a bad phone line.

When Ruby shares some gossip about Steph’s former flame Ross Barton, who is currently seeing Laurel Thomas, Kerry takes over the responses. She jokes that Laurel is “like twice his age”, before steering the conversation towards money.

They attempt to secure another £5000, but the pair are startled when Eric demands to know what they’re up to. Eric grabs the laptop, causing the AI tool to malfunction and tipping Caleb off to the scam.

With Caleb now aware of how he’s being duped, how long will it be before Kerry’s secret is out? And will Eric rat out his loved ones when he’s been partial to some dodgy schemes in the past?
