Brooklyn Beckham is set to appear in his mother Victoria’s upcoming Netflix documentary, despite months of speculation about a rift in the Beckham family.
The series, which is yet to be titled, will shine a spotlight on Victoria, 51, in her role as founder and creative director of her fashion and beauty brands. Cameras have followed her both in the office and at home, giving viewers a rare insight into her world.
Rumours of a family feud intensified earlier this year when Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz skipped David Beckham’s 50th birthday bash in May, as well as Romeo’s 23rd birthday in London. This led many to wonder whether Brooklyn would also be left out of his mum’s new project.
But insiders now confirm Brooklyn will feature in the series, with much of the filming taking place during Paris Fashion Week in September 2024. He was even spotted helping his mum backstage when heavy rain disrupted her catwalk show.
Speaking to Bloomberg, Victoria admitted she wasn’t immediately sold on letting Netflix into her life, but was convinced by her husband. “To be honest, I wasn’t sure anybody would really want to see what I do every day,” she said. “It focuses on what I do, and my role as founder and creative director of the two brands. I thought long and hard about it, and then I realised that now is the time to do it.”
The new project will follow the success of the 2023 Beckham series, which charted David’s football career and family life. Victoria hinted David and their children might make cameo appearances, though she teased, “He might end up on the cutting-room floor. Who knows?”
