What To Know

  • Hannah Harper is going on tour after winning American Idol Season 24.
  • She’s also set to make her Grand Ole Opry debut alongside Carrie Underwood.

Hannah Harper is embracing the momentum of her American Idol win this summer. While she is currently taking a few weeks to reset at home following the May 11 finale, she’s going to be hitting the ground running in June and throughout the rest of the summer.

In a major career update, Harper is confirmed to make her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 2. She’ll be playing the iconic venue on the same night as Carrie Underwood and fellow up-and-comer Avery Anna. Then, on June 5, she’ll be kicking off her String Cheese tour, aptly named after the original song that she auditioned for American Idol with.

Harper will spend the next several months on the road, playing shows across the country at festivals, amphitheaters, and more. Her list of tour dates doesn’t end until November 14, so there are plenty of opportunities to see her perform.

Most of Harper’s tour dates are in the midwest, with several stops in Tennessee, her home state of Missouri, and Arkansas. There are also shows in Kentucky, South Carolina, Georgia, and more.

Harper is a mom of three and will be bringing her young sons on the road with her this summer. Navigating touring as a family is something she and her husband, Devon Mendenhall, are going to “figure out” as they go, she previously told TV Insider.

In addition to performing live shows, Harper is also going to be writing and recording music this summer. “I’m going to try to keep the fire going as long as I can,” she told us. “[I have] a good collection of stuff that I’m ready for the world to hear, but also, I’ve only been writing for [about] two years. But a lot has happened in the last two years and I’m ready to share more.”

Harper beat runner-up Jordan McCullough to be named the winner of American Idol Season 24. Keyla Richardson finished in third place.
