David Bromstad’s Best Friend Appears on ‘My Lottery Dream Home’ — Meet Greg Stott
David Bromstad invited a very special guest to appear with him on the latest episode of his hit HGTV show, “My Lottery Dream Home.” His best friend in the whole wide world, Gregory A. Stott!
Premiering on June 5, 2026, the season 19 episode titled “BFF Lottery” follows the house-hunting journey of a woman and her best friend searching for a property in Rochester, New York, after she won $3 million in the lottery. According to HGTV’s synopsis, “She wants to find her daughter a dream home so David’s also bringing along his bestie to help the duo find the perfect place.”
David Bromstad’s Thrilled to Have His Bestie on ‘My Lottery Dream Home’
In a teaser video for the new episode posted on HGTV’s Instagram account, Bromstad is seen all bundled up in chilly Rochester, as Stott stands next to him, trying to remember the square footage of a house they’re seeing.
When Stotthunt calls it a “perfect house,” Bromstad adorably stares him down with a slow blink, causing his bestie to laugh and say, “I did good! That was perfect!”
In the episode, he had so much fun giving the specs on each house they saw, he suggested that he star in his own spin-off, which Bromstad found adorable — and totally not happening!
In the comment section, Bromstad gushed, “My bestie is the best bestie ever! Aren’t we adorable?! ”
Fans couldn’t agree more, with one calling them “the absolute cutest ever” and another exclaiming, “Oh wow, that is a lot of handsomeness!”
David Bromstad’s Bestie Might Look Familiar Because He’s Been on HGTV Before
If Bromstad’s bestie looks familiar, that’s probably because this isn’t Stott’s first rodeo on HGTV. In 2021, when Bromstad was searching for his dream home in the Orlando area, Stott helped him go house hunting in the HGTV special “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Dream Home.”
Bromstad settled on a five-bedroom, four-bathroom Tudor that he spent several years renovating, eventually giving fans a full tour on another special in December 2025.
Back in 2021, he told Realtor.com that having Stott by his side during his house hunt was invaluable, noting, “He was incredibly helpful. We’ve known each other for over 20 years. And he helped me immensely because I would do most of the house hunting by myself and he just kept refocusing me. He was like, ‘But you really want this’ or ‘You need this.’ So he just, kind of, was my friendly reminder of what I needed.”
Bromstad also told the outlet he prefers “shopping with a friend, not so much a family member. The family members are a little too invested. Friends’ll give it to you straight.”
