Nevada Teen Held in Custody Over Alleged Attack on Horses at Barrel Racing Event

A 17-year-old girl from Nevada remains in custody without bail after being accused in connection with an alleged attack on multiple horses during a barrel racing event in Las Vegas.
According to court records, Emily Grace faces several charges, including 12 counts related to animal cruelty involving horses and three counts of property damage. The case has drawn significant attention from the equestrian community and social media users.
During a juvenile court hearing on June 4, the judge found that Grace could pose a potential risk to public safety. As a result, the court ordered that she remain detained while the case proceeds.
Prosecutors have also indicated that they plan to seek adult charges. If that request is granted, Grace could face much more serious penalties if convicted.
A key hearing is scheduled for July 8, when the court is expected to consider whether the case should be transferred to the adult criminal justice system.
The case remains under investigation, and Grace continues to be held as legal proceedings move forward.
