It was the kiss that got everyone talking — and now Pete Wicks is setting the record straight. 😳
The TOWIE star made headlines after sharing what fans called an “aggressive” on-stage kiss with Strictly Come Dancing professional Jowita Przystal during a live performance at London’s O2 Arena. The passionate moment quickly went viral on TikTok, sparking rumours of real chemistry between the pair.
Speaking on his Staying Relevant podcast alongside best mate Sam Thompson, Pete decided to clear the air once and for all.
Reading out a cheeky fan message, Pete laughed as he shared:
“‘My nan watched the video and said — why can’t he be that aggressive with me? I’d love to be kissed like that by Mr Peter Wicks!’” 😂
Pete joked in response, “Age is nothing but a number… but if I kissed her like that, I might break her — or snap her like a wishbone! But at least she’d die happy.”
Despite the laughter, Pete clarified that the moment wasn’t spontaneous or romantic — it was all part of the show.
“It was choreography,” he explained simply — six words that ended the debate once and for all.
Sam Thompson backed him up, adding:
“It wasn’t an aggressive kiss. It was powerful, dramatic — like the dance itself.”
The performance — set to Kaleo’s haunting track “Way Down We Go” — featured Jowita suspended by silks before falling into Pete’s arms. The pair shared three choreographed kisses, sending fans into meltdown as the crowd erupted at the O2.
Since then, clips of the performance have taken over TikTok, with many calling it a “hard launch” of a possible romance. But Pete insists it’s all in good fun — and part of the act.
He later admitted it was “nice” to have fans of all ages — even the grandmothers — enjoying the show. ❤️
Jowita, for her part, joined in on the fun, commenting on the podcast’s Instagram post:
