In the middle of his American Heart Tour in September, reports surfaced that the “Beautiful Things” singer and his girlfriend of nearly three years, Maggie Thurmon, had called it quits. At the time, TMZ’s sources dished that the reason behind their breakup was unclear…but now, fans think Benson Boone may have cheated on Maggie Thurmon with Kylee Anderson.
It all started when Maggie shared a few cryptic posts on her TikTok account, including comments that alluded to the Grammy nominee possibly cheating on her. The latest in the saga, though, comes from voice actor and singer Kylee, who is reportedly Benson’s childhood best friend…and who recently declined to comment on the cheating rumors after she coincidentally dropped a song called “Benny” in August.

First, Kylee Anderson raised eyebrows when she posted a pic with Benson and released a song called “Benny.”
Back in June, Kylee posted a seemingly old photo with Benson in Utah with no caption…
…and then she released a song in August called “Benny,” featuring lyrics like: “We said we’d be best friends / Now we make out in my Mustang all day / Might be more than just a friend.”
Per Betches, Kylee claimed that the song was about an “experience with my best friend who I fell in love with and he ended up getting a GF and expected me to be friends with her.”
Side note: The guy she cast in the music video looks an awful lot like Benson, no?
Then Benson and Maggie broke up.
TMZ first broke the news of Benson and Maggie’s split in early September, with sources telling the outlet “it’s unclear what led to the split,” although the pair had already unfollowed each other on socials. (Important to note: They also reportedly both unfollowed Kylee around the same time.)
Oh, and two days before their split was publicized, Benson got emotional before singing “In the Stars” during his Nashville tour stop on September 9.
“Sometimes people leave your life. Whether it’s the right thing or the wrong thing. And it is always hard, always, every single time. And it sucks. And it sucks to sit in it, and it sucks to be sad about it, and it sucks to feel that so hard sometimes,” he said. “But it’s okay, it’s life. It happens. And as terrible as it is, there’s always something or someone who can pull you out of it.”
Maggie shared a few cryptic social posts, including cheating allegations.
Okay, buckle up, because this is when things start to get a little messy in the public eye. It all started on September 26, when Maggie posted a get-ready-with-me video on TikTok.
Three days later, Maggie posted on her book club Instagram account, noting that she’d been feeling “sad” and “overthinking” too much to pick up a book amid her rumored split with Benson. “Something happened, and I am now touching grass at my parents’ house in Georgia,” she explained.
Then, on October 15, she posted a since-deleted TikTok where she responded to the sound “Remember how it felt when he cheated on you though?” with “Which time?”
When a fan commented, “Bro, if Benson cheated I will turn this car right around,” she allegedly responded, “Put your blinker on, babe.” This is all alleged, but E! The Rundown caught the whole thing:
Kylee has declined to comment…mostly.
A day after Maggie posted and deleted her TikTok that alleged Benson had cheated on her, Kylee (sort of) entered the chat when TMZ asked her to comment on the situation.
Kylee simply said she “can’t answer any questions like that” but did give Benson his flowers for his music as she referred to him as “an amazing, talented artist” who has inspired most of her music.
She then explained that her track “Benny” was written for people who were “chosen second.”
What’s more: When someone slid into her comments on TikTok to write, “He cheated on a Barbie with a cabbage patch doll,” Kylee replied with, “Cabbage Patch dolls are cute tho.”
Neither Benson nor Maggie has publicly commented on their split since reports surfaced earlier in September.
