Oscar-winning Hollywood legend ignored by fans as he rides the train – would you have spotted him?
He was spotted on the same public transport earlier this month
A HOLLYWOOD A-lister went completely unnoticed as he joined passengers on the New York subway.
The movie star looked unrecognizable as he was spotted on the Green 6 line wrapped up in a green wool hat and face mask.
Tom Hanks looked worlds away from his movie roles in the likes of Philadelphia and Sleepless in Seattle and suave red carpet displays as he donned a pale green jacket, dark jeans and boots.
He threw a green cross-body bag over his shoulder and perched on a seat as he made his way across the Big Apple in incognito mode.
The 69-year-old has form for snubbing private cars in favor of public transport.
Earlier this month, he was seen riding the subway alone, again covering up in a baseball cap.
After getting off the train, Tom grabbed a $1 cup of coffee from a street cart.
The Saving Private Ryan star then sipped his beverage on a park bench, still managing not to draw attention to himself.
He even slipped a few dollars to a street musician before heading off to what appeared to be rehearsals for his new play, The World of Tomorrow, at the Shed Theatre, which premieres on October 30.
MISTAKEN IDENTITY
The Academy Award winner has been the victim of a tech scam of late.
