The holiday season officially kicked off at the London Palladium as Magic Radio’s West End Christmas brought together some of theatre’s biggest names including the unstoppable Sydnie Christmas, whose performance of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” lit up the stage with pure festive magic.
This year’s annual Christmas special featured a powerhouse lineup: West End legend Michael Ball, Phantom of the Opera’s John Owen-Jones, 101 Dalmatians star and Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas, Tina the Musical star Zoe Birkett, and Titanique sensation Lauren Drew. Hosting the evening were Magic Radio’s very own Lucie Jones and David Hunter, making it a celebration filled with musical theatre royalty.

But even among these major stars, Sydnie Christmas stood out with ease. Her lively, joy-filled performance of “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” had the audience clapping, cheering, and dancing in their seats. Her vocals were crisp and powerful, and her stage presence—confident, warm, and effortlessly charismatic—made it impossible to look anywhere else.
As one attendee raved afterward: “Now that was proper good… The voices, production, backing band. Fab. How about taking that on the road? Merry Christmas everyone—it’s officially started!”
The show also featured music from some of the West End’s most beloved productions, including Tina, Titanique, Les Misérables, Waitress, and many more. With glittering lights, full orchestrations, and a festive atmosphere, the night felt like a true celebration of theatre and holiday spirit. Magic Radio has promised even more Christmas surprises, encouraging fans to tune in to stay updated.

A Big Year for Sydnie Christmas
Fresh off her rise to fame after winning Britain’s Got Talent 2024—wowing millions with her emotional performances of “My Way” and “Over the Rainbow”—Sydnie Christmas has continued to build momentum throughout 2025.
She released her debut album My Way, performed for King Charles at the Royal Variety Performance, and even found herself singing in Los Angeles alongside Michael Bublé and Jennifer Hudson at a David Foster fundraiser. She also took on the role of Cruella de Vil in 101 Dalmatians: The Musical, performing alongside Jeff Brazier and Aston Merrygold.

Despite her success, Sydnie has kept her feet firmly on the ground. She often jokes that she goes unnoticed in public—“People think I’m someone’s manager!”—and she consistently reassures fans that fame hasn’t changed her.
Recently, she addressed concerned messages about her health after posting a bare-faced video online. Fans assumed she looked “tired,” but Sydnie quickly clarified:
“Guys, I just didn’t have any makeup on! I’m fine—completely fine. It’s so funny that in this day and age, if you don’t have makeup on, people think you’re unwell.”

With her down-to-earth charm, powerhouse vocals, and unwavering love for performing, Sydnie says she’s grateful for every opportunity:
“Any type of performing—on stage or on tour—I’m living the dream.”
