A royal expert has reportedly warned Prince William and King Charles to avoid one “disastrous” mistake involving Prince Harry. The monarch and the Prince of Wales have been advised to remain in sync with each other in their approach to Prince Harry.
For those unversed, the Duke of Sussex recently visited the UK to honor his commitment to the Invictus Games. On July 10, the Sussexes reportedly met King Charles and his wife, Camilla, at the monarch’s residence.
Expert suggests Prince William and King Charles should stay united over this Prince Harry issue
A royal expert has reportedly advised Prince William and King Charles to be on the same page in their approach to Prince Harry. The royal expert has cautioned that any visible tensions between Charles and William could manifest into unnecessary issues within the royal family (via Daily Mail).
Royal author and expert Richard Fitzwilliams said: “The most disastrous thing that could happen to the monarchy would be a falling out between King Charles and Prince William, who, together with his family, is its future.”
While relations between Harry and his father appear to be improving by the day, the same cannot be said about his relationship with William. The brothers continue to share a strained relationship, with the Waleses reportedly spending time at a polo outing when the Sussexes met the King and Queen.
Furthermore, Fitzwilliams believes that William’s “disdain for his ‘wayward’ brother” is evident from the fact that he spent the day with his wife over meeting his brother and sister-in-law, Meghan Markle.
The royal expert shared: “William showed public disdain for his (wayward) brother by playing polo with Catherine’s support on the day the Sussexes met the King and Queen. If this was a one-off, few could object.”
Fitzwilliams explained that Harry’s frequent visits to the UK, particularly to meet his father, must not eclipse the work being carried out by the royal family. The royal expert dished: “Whilst appreciating his father’s approach, William is likely to be concerned about the effects of future visits. These are likely to overshadow the valuable work the monarchy is doing in the media.”
